The capital of Western Australia has an interessting history and lots of nice places to visit. Broome is the world leader of south sea pearls in best quality, but not only this, Broome its self is a „pearl“ to has be seen and visit. Its is located in a mild and beautyful clima part of the world and it is amazing staying here – the whole year the temperatur is between 15-22° during the night and between 25-35° during the day (summer has 3 months wet season). Usually the expecting of a capital for an area like Western Australia, which is, with a total land area of 2‘646‘000 km² the second-lagest country subdivision in the world (only Sakha Republic in Russia is bigger), is to find a big, booming city.
It‘s absolutly contrary at Broome. Broome is a little, tiny city with a population of „only“ 14‘445 (21.1 % indigenous Aboriginals). Also the caracteristic of this city is the pure opposity of other cities in Australia, which we have seen. It is a beautyful and amazing place with an excellent mood and spirit.
The short Cable Beach, which was named after the deep sea telegraph cable laid betweein Broome and Banunwangi (east Java), is a beautyfull 22 km long white sandy beach at the indian ocean. Pefect for swimming and surfing.
This amazing landscape and nature scenery takes the rocks at the lighthouse at the Gantheaume Point to an unbeliveable great colourous spectacle, deep red cliffs with white-yellow limestone between and the white sandy beach at the deep blue indian ocean is gorgeous.
Of course we do also have some nice impressions of Broome and the surrounding.
