After the real changeable time at Coober Pedy wie slowly travelling to the south. Next stop and interesting spot to stay, for all how wants to see some Railways at the Outback, is Kingoonya. Here about 100 trains are passing through per week or they also stop to cross or bring the mail in, as we saw. The train driver git slowly in and at the crossing with the street he throw the mail to the ground.
We arrive early in the afternoon and what we hit was a quite place and nearly the whole population of Kingoonya at the beer garden of „Hotel Kingoonya“ The population of Kingoonya is 10 and these people running the Hotel Kingoonya, the caravan park and they work around with fencing and other jobs.
We have a cold beer with them an so we having very interesting and funny and humoured talks about nearly everything. We love to talk with the Aussies it’s always so friendly and good to here what they do and how the county runs and so on. Kingoonya is such a nice and lovely place it’s a real oasis in the outback. You will find outback feeling pure and the impression that the time stands still here and the life is so wonderful.
