We enjoy another day around Alice Springs. This day we want to see the town of Hermannsburg appear. This town often is recommended to visit and to go to the historical precinct site of Hermannsburg. Honestly no one ever told or tell, that Hermannsburg is a town where 99% of the residents are Aboriginals and they do have signs at the road with „do not enter“, „no photography“ and at the end the town looks really messy. Hermannsburg isn‘t it worth to visit it – never at all.
After that scare we continue our trip to the Palm Valley – this should be achievable in about 22 km. The road has a small sign with „4WD only“ and is valid as a tourist drive. Here is forgotten to mention, that only 4WD wont fit. It is also necessary to be familiar with driving on fine sand roads, which are deep scarped. After 12 km really not so easy to drive we decied to turn and go back before we get stuck in the sand.
Nonetheless we were able to take some nice pictures and at the end of the day, we went at „Bojangels Saloon – Bo‘s Saloon“ to round up the day in a good mood and with some nice pictures. Bo‘s Saloon is a must to everyone who ever comes to Alice Springs.
