The Outback is getting closer. We drive further on our way North and on this way we hit Peterborough. A smal town with Steam Train History. Around 100 years ago, Peterborough was an important place on the steam railway route. Some of these steam Trains are shown at the Steam-Railway-Museum.
The last smal town before we reach Wilpena Pound is Hawker.
So after 4 hours drive we are at Wilpena Pound, such a beautyful and lovely place at the Flinders Ranges. Nice landscape and impressive nature surrounds us.
The weather and temperature is fantastic every day arround 35 degrees Celcisus. As we heared, this is cool for the summer season, usually it’s arround 40 to 44 degrees Celcius every day.
After a Sightseeingflight in the early morning we made our first 4WD tour through Wilpena National Parc – Buneyroo Gorge. Pictures are here.
