We are back on the “Mother road” how the Route 66 lovely is called too.
For us the Route 66 starts briefly at Ludlow California. In Amboy we hit “Roy’s Diner and Motel” which has already had its high life. They sell here only the usually, simply soft drinks and coffee as also some souvenirs of the Route 66.
Our journey now brings us over different places like the Mojave Desert to the hills of Kingman. On this way we change the elevation from 145 m over sea level up to 1100 m and back zu 745 m over sea level. On all that we cruise a beautiful pass route from Needles to Kingman. All this is completed by all the Harley Davidson riders we cross. We enjoy the beautiful landscape of the desert up to Kingman.
The Route 66 has a short but memorable history. The Mother Road existed between 1925 and 1985 until the Highways were opened. Lots of people had build their life on that road and then with the opening of the highways they lost their way to exist.
